The final year project plays a very crucial part in a student`s life, it represents a demonstration of a student`s ability to integrate the knowledge they acquired for more than one course, to produce a final work that shows your readiness to graduate. We are absolutely stoked and elated to share the details of my final year project titled “Autonomous Fire-Fighting Hexa-copter”.
We have Designed and Developed the First Responder Unmanned Aerial Vehicle with purpose of Extinguishing Small Scale early-stage fire.
Our UAV is the first responder at the fire scene in an autonomous fire-fighting UAV-based rescue. Its timely response will make the area safer and contribute to lessening the total damage. As soon as the fire is detected by in-building sensors, the UAV is itself launched and flies to the location, scanning the area for fire. The UAV will also have fire detection and recognition skills, as well as the ability to drop fire extinguisher balls, enclosed in a lightweight container actuated with servo, as the first line of defense against fires before they spread.
UAV combined with firefighting will make it easier to access and control fire outbreak before it spreads, minimizing the harm. The Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle will help improve response time, avoid further damage.
During our project there were many crossroads that we have faced, our first flight turn-out to be a mishap-crashed landing but we have also overcome that. This would not have been possible without the supervision of our mentor with continuous dedication and hard work of our group.

- Project guides play a major role in defining the success of a final year project. He/She should be an excellent mentor and a subject matter expert.
- Once you have finalized your project topic and the guide, Make sure to create a plan, keeping in mind the deadlines.
- Reading research papers will give you ideas, a strong foundation, and an outline of how you should go about with your final year project.
- Publishing a research paper is one of the few ways you can add credibility to your final year project.
- It is pointless to have slogged for your project if you cannot deliver your project well on the final day. Hence, it is of supreme importance that you are well-versed with your project and make a good, in-depth, and interactive presentation on it.
